Our, unfortunate Citimortgage dealings,
span over 2 and a half years. We were unaware of 2 30 day late payment
son our credit report for 2003. It was brought to our attention in
February of 2004, when a new mortgage company pulled our report, and
turned us down because of this information.
When my husband first called them and asked them to remove the
inaccurate information, we were refused, even though they stated there
were no late payments in our history. When we contacted them again, they
agreed to have the information removed.
In March of 2004, we applied for a new mortgage again, only to find out
the information had not been removed. We called Citimortgage and asked
them to remove them, they did, and sent us a letter confirming the fact.
When our credit was pulled again, by our potential new mortgage lender,
we found there were 2 more late payments added to our credit report. I
called Citimortgage and asked to speak to a supervisor. The gentleman I
spoke with had an Indian accent, and apart from not understanding what I
was saying (he kept repeating the same sentence over and over), refused
to put me through.
When I called back again, I did speak with a supervisor, and she
informed me that the new inaccurate information was not their fault, and
would not be removed.
I have spoken with several customer service people over the past few
days and have been:- talked down to, hung up on, and basically denied
any request.
It has now come to our attention that we are now, not only, being denied
a new mortgage from anybody, but we are also being penalised for having
to many companies enquire about our credit.
This is all because of Citimortgage and their incredible knack of not
being able to handle customers, handle accounts, or handle resolutions.

Paid off my loan in Septmeber 2004,
and have not received the deed. When I called on February 17th, 2005
(of course the call went to india, as it seems that the big
corporations are screwing us by sending jobs overseas) I was told
that it was mailed in November of 2004.
I was told that it went out by regular mail, instead of by certified
mail. After going round and round with this person, I told her I
wanted my call transfered to someone in the USA as that is where the
house is. after exchanging heated words with her and being hung up
on, I spent several hours trying to find a number in the USA for
them.
I then talk to a lady in O'Fallon, Mo. (at least I think she was in
the USA.) I asked her the same thing about the deed. She also
claimed that it went by regular mail. After once more explaining
that I have not received it, she had the nerve to ask if I might
have thrown it away thinking it was junk mail.
I told her that I spent the last 25 years paying off the loan, that
I was not that dumb to throw away the deed. She played dumb when I
asked her why is it that they sent out letters by certified mail
when payments are late, but send out the deeds by regular mail.
She than said that she could have a copy sent out at a cost of
$50.00. I asked why should I have to Pay for something I did not get
in the first place. She then said that one would be sent out, and it
would take 30 days. Well 30 days have gone bye and still no deed.
I would like to know if this is a common thing, claiming the deed
was sent, and than charging $50.00 to make extra money.
